Som Mårten själv uttrycker det – alla jazz-connoisseur ́s känner ju till de örhängen som Storbanden från förr gjorde kända. Melodier som Count Basies Corner Pocket, Tommy Dorseys I ́m Getting Sentimental Over You och alla andra kända melodier. Men varför får man enbart höra dem i Storbandsversioner? Melodierna är ju så vackra i sig själva att man borde få fördjupa sig i dem och få höra dem i ett riktigt intimt format. Det tar vi fasta på i denna kvartett, där vi gör just detta: Spelar klassiker från storbands-eran i en liten intim jazzkvartett.
